Networking

Wireless networks, home security, business efficiency and permissions, remote access, construction consulting, we handle it all...
Wireless networks are especially dangerous at this time. By default, routers from the store have a "one touch setup" which may seem convenient. However, they leave an open signal which neighbors and malicious people in range can use and exploit. Wireless routers should have their firmware flashed, security protocols updated, and configurations safely implemented.
Networking at your business should not be the same as the home. First, much more data is being sent through the network and the quality and quantity should be assessed. Second, end-user, group, and server configurations should be assessed based on the business model and the amount of access that balances the needs of the company with those of the indidivual. Third, do you have a NAS or file server? Where are they located? Consideration should be given to the infrastructure of your organization. Where is the equipment, who has access, and what if something goes wrong?
How many times have you forgotten a Word document at the office that you wish you could modify or print at home? Remote access to your computer is a great convenience. But, exposing your information to Internet accessibility should not be taken lightly. A secure connection with a balanced protocol is essential to both issues.
